Form Your Core Team
Identify a dedicated group to oversee the project. This “governance structure” typically includes a project lead, team coordinators, and enthusiastic volunteers who will manage everything from fundraising to event logistics.

Define the Challenge
Decide on the challenge format that best fits your corporate culture. Examples include virtual races, #Tokyo2Malawi2022-style distance challenges, or friendly fitness competitions among offices.

Purchase & Match Donations
Participation Tickets: Employees donate by purchasing entry tickets to join the challenge.
Voluntary Donations: Individuals or teams can contribute additional funds if they’re passionate about the cause.
Company Matching (Optional): Boost morale and impact by matching employee contributions dollar-for-dollar.

Engage & Communicate
Use internal communication channels (email, messaging platforms, town halls) and external tools (social media, newsletters) to share progress, celebrate milestones, and keep the momentum high.

Recognize top fundraisers or teams, spotlight success stories, and—when the challenge is complete—showcase the real-world results of the funds raised (e.g., photos of newly constructed classrooms or children enjoying their new school facilities). Then plan your next challenge!

Everyone – Hitachi and Hitachi Energy employees, friends, and family members! Let’s make 2025 epic together. You can participate as:
Team Captain leading the team to the finish line.
Team Member joining a team.
Super busy? No worries! You can still show your support with a donation.
👇 WHEN AND HOW?
Starting June 2025, you can start your team building activities, ensuring you're ready to start the challenge in September. There are two ways to form a team:
- Captains can create their own teams and register together. Each team can consist of up to 10 members, including the captain.
- Solo participants will be grouped by the organizers into teams of 10 within the same category. Assigned teams will be notified and asked to choose a captain and team name.

While keeping the My Virtual Mission app - your trusted companion from the BK2S 2022 and 2024 challenges - we're now exploring new routes.
Return routes for all three categories will also be available.
As an extra motivation to exercise and compete in the teams, Hitachi Energy will unlock another US$5,000 for every 100.000 km we cover altogether.
