BringKids2Schools Challenge 2026
A global fundraising campaign by Hitachi Energy
A global fundraising campaign by Hitachi Energy
Building a school is an incredible team effort that fills us with excitement! We come together to raise funds for Bring Kids 2 Schools, who collaborate with BuildOn to make this dream a reality.
Join us in this virtual sporting challenge where teams will strive to cover their chosen distance within 90 days, from September 1 to November 30, 2026. Together, our mission is to raise funds for new schools in Malawi and Senegal.
Each new school we construct provides education for 150 children, ensuring equal opportunities for both boys and girls. What's even more amazing is that 100% of the donations we receive go directly to building the schools, with no operational costs deducted.
Our goal is to generate a total of US$261,000 to build six schools. To maximize our impact, Hitachi Energy will match every dollar contributed by our employees, their friends, and family members. To further motivate participants to stay active and compete, Hitachi Energy will also unlock an additional US$5,000 for every 100,000 km we accumulate as a global team.
We can't wait to see the impact we'll make together and the joy we'll bring to children in Malawi and Senegal!

To help you track your progress effectively, here are your daily and weekly distance goals for each challenge level, considering a team of 10 members over 90 days:
Casual (2,500 km total): aim to cover 2.8 km per day (~3,750 steps), which breaks down to about 19.4 km per week.
Competitive (7,000 km total): set your target at 7.8 km per day (~10,400 steps), equivalent to roughly 54.4 km per week.
Elite (12,500 km total): take on the ultimate test by covering 13.9 km per day (~18,550 steps), averaging about 97.2 km per week.
These distance goals provide a structured framework to keep you motivated and on track to complete your chosen challenge level within the designated time frame.
While the overview shows an average distance guide, you can set your own pace and target. Remember, every step you take brings you closer to your destination!
Everyone is a winner when it comes to supporting education, but we want to offer special recognition to those who go above and beyond in their support of our cause.
All additional team fundraising should be personal. Please also check and adhere to local legal requirements for fundraising. All funds go straight to BK2S and will not go through Hitachi Energy.
