BringKidsToSchools Challenge 2025

A global fundraising campaign by Hitachi Energy

Kids to Schools Challenge 2025 Presentation.png

Building a school is an incredible team effort that fills us with excitement! We come together to raise funds for Bring Kids 2 Schools, who collaborate with BuildOn to make this dream a reality.

Join us in this virtual sporting challenge where teams will compete to cover the distance within 90 days, from September 1st to November 30th, 2025. Our mission is to raise funds for four new schools in Senegal and Malawi.

Each new school we construct provides education for 150 children, ensuring equal opportunities for boys and girls. What's even more amazing is that 100% of our donations directly support the project.

The target is to raise US$75,000 to build four schools, and here's the best part: the company will match any amount raised by our employees, their friends, and family members. We can't wait to see the impact we'll make together and the joy we'll bring to the children in Senegal and Malawi!

 Q&A

👇 WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Everyone – Hitachi and Hitachi Energy employees, friends, and family members! Let’s make 2025 epic together. You can participate as:

  • Team Captain leading the team to the finish line.

  • Team Member joining a team.

  • Super busy? No worries! You can still show your support with a donation.

👇 WHEN AND HOW?

Starting June 2025, you can start your team building activities, ensuring you're ready to start the challenge in September. There are two ways to form a team:

  • Captains can create their own teams and register together. Each team can consist of up to 10 members, including the captain.
  • Solo participants will be grouped by the organizers into teams of 10 within the same category. Assigned teams will be notified and asked to choose a captain and team name.

👇 REGISTRATION PROCESS

Stay tuned, the registration will open at the beginning of August.

👇 What's new?

While keeping the My Virtual Mission app - your trusted companion from the BK2S 2022 and 2024 challenges - we're now exploring new routes:

  • Madrid to Senegal: 3.000 km
  • Muscat to Senegal: 7.000 km
  • Manila to Senegal: 14.000 km

Return routes for all three categories will also be available.

As an extra motivation to exercise and compete in the teams, Hitachi Energy will unlock another US$5,000 for every 100.000 km we cover altogether.

👇 HOW MUCH DISTANCE SHOULD I COVER?

To help you track your progress effectively, here are your weekly and daily distance goals for each challenge level, considering a team of 10 members over 90 days:

  • Casual (Madrid to Senegal): aim to cover 23.33 km per week, which breaks down to approximately 3.33 km per day.

  • Competitive (Muscat to Senegal): set your target at 54.44 km per week, equivalent to an average of 7.78 km per day.
