**Costs & Sponsor:** Birgit S. and Shahram N., from the Zurich area in Switzerland, generously funded the US$35,000 required for this school.
**Children:** 100 - 150, from 5 to 15 years old, girls and boys in equal numbers.
**Teachers:** 2 teachers, employed by the Senegal public education board.
**School building:** Reinforced concrete, 140m2, two classrooms.
**Construction:** Managed by buildOn, the Mbaraglou community proudly contributed 1,144 volunteer work days to the building of their new school!
The school is in operation since Jul. 2025.

School Visit: In November 2025, Birgit and Shahram visited the Mbaraglou school and had the unique opportunity to meet with parents, students, and teachers. It was a time for talking with community members, learning about the local culture, and gaining a deeper understanding of the community's hopes and aspirations for the future.

The visit offered a firsthand look at the transformative power of education on children, their families, and the community. It was an unforgettable experience for visitors and local community members alike, strengthening friendships and reinforcing a shared commitment to improving educational opportunities.
