Costs & Sponsor: The US$40,000 for this school was generously funded by Turner & Townsend, a global construction consulting company, with an office in Switzerland.

Children: 100 - 150, from 5 to 15 years old, girls and boys in equal numbers.

Teachers: 2 teachers, employed by the Malawi public education board.

School building: Reinforced concrete, 140m2, two classrooms.

Construction is ongoing, expected completion is in Dec.2025. The community of Matanda is working hands-on, with around 25 volunteers, from day 1 until completion. The work is supervised by local employees of our partner organisation buildOn
