Costs & Sponsor: The US$34,000 for this school was funded by Hitachi Energy (Switzerland), during 2024, with over 1700 employees contributing in a global fundraising campaign.

Children: 100 - 150, from 5 to 15 years old, girls and boys in equal numbers.

Teachers: 2 teachers, employed by the Senegal public education board.

School building: Reinforced concrete, 140m2, two classrooms.

Construction: Managed by buildOn, construction started May ‘25. The Chiperera community proudly contributed an incredible 3’796 volunteer workdays to the construction of their new school. Children are in class since December 2025
