2025 - Birgit Speer & Shahram Naderi > Mbaraglou, Senegal - under Construction

A life-changing transformation for the community of Mbaraglou, Senegal: Thanks to the incredibly generous support of Birgit Speer and Shahram Naderi, the remote village of Mbaraglou – about two hours northeast of Dakar – will soon have a new, safe, and solid school building. 

This is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a place where dreams are given space to grow.

In the photo is Nogoye Khoulé, a 13-year-old Year 5 student. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day so that she can care for the sick in Mbaraglou and make a meaningful difference to their lives. Until now, there was only a very basic primary school structure.

The need for a secure learning environment was urgent.

Thank you, Shahram and Birgit, for your decision to fund the construction of an entire school building. You have opened the door to education, dignity, and self-determination for countless children.
