Thank you Turner & Townsend - Groundbreaking in Matanda, Malawi

The construction of the Turner & Townsend - funded school in Matanda, Malawi, began a few days ago.

Matanda is located around 120 km north of the capital Lilongwe, in the Kasungu area.
There is already a school in Matanda with currently 371 pupils, 206 of whom are girls. However, the existing buildings are unsafe and have long been unsuitable for teaching.
This makes the community all the more delighted that the long-hoped-for new school is finally being built – made possible by the generous support of Turner & Townsend.
The community members are actively involved in the construction, guided by our partner organisation buildOn.
